Is there a minimum quantity for an order?
Yes, in order to reduce set-up and working costs, profiling needs to be carried out in high volumes. In turn these vary based on the complexity of the template and any additional work requested, as well as the type of material used.For simple or commercial templates produced with carbon steel we have minimum amounts around 30/40 QL (3000/4000 kg), which can go down to 20 QL (2000 kg) in the case of production with inox steel, or 10 QL (1000 kg) for aluminium.We can issue quotes for customised profiles at the bidding stage.These minimum amounts are designed to offer the client an even more competitive price compared with estrusion or pressure bending production.
What are the advantages of profiling?
Profilsystem production operates using the profiling technique, or else by means of profiling machines which use forming rollers.Compared to estrusion, which operates by deforming plastic which has been heated up (whereas profiling operates at cold temperatures), and compared to pressure bending, profiling allows working costs to be reduced, as it is capable of producing large volumes within a shorter space of time, and maintaining the relevant mechanical properties.We can continue at length to list the advantages of profiling vis-a-vis pressure bending: profiling means we can go up to maximum transportable lengths, usually around 12 metres; there are also advantages in terms of the complexity of the template ordered, while our minimum amounts allow us to make marked cost savings.
